Choosing between two Lenovo laptops involves comparing their features and needs.
Choosing between two Lenovo laptops involves comparing their features and needs.
Hello! Let me assist you in choosing between the two laptops. The price gap of $200 isn't crucial since this device will serve me for years. I plan to use it mostly for office tasks, web browsing, office work, videos, and some light gaming. I play games infrequently—perhaps once or twice a year, mainly light indie titles, so nothing too demanding.
Is the first Slim model sufficient? Will the extra 16GB RAM and dedicated video card make a noticeable difference if I’m not gaming?
For the Lenovo Slim 7:

- Intel i7-1260p
- 16GB DDR5 4800Mhz

- 61wh battery
For the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X:

- NVIDIA RTX 3050 (4GB DDR6)

The Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X remains a strong choice for the GPU needed in Photoshop.
When using Photoshop, it's essential to have the Slim 7 Pro X. GPU and additional RAM are also necessary.
I should have made it clear I'm not very experienced with Photoshop. I only use it occasionally when editing photos (photography is a hobby of mine).
I've been looking at some doubtful reviews about the Slim 7 Pro X. I'm not sure how much to trust them. And the seller of this laptop on eBay doesn't seem to have good feedback.
I agree too, it comes with a 2-year warranty on eBay but might be more trouble than it's worth. A few people were happy with their machines, while others have left negative reviews. I chose the other computer for now. I believe 16GB will be enough for my immediate needs.
