It varies. We can't guarantee 100% performance for a 4x8 setup, nor the exact speed it will achieve. Officially, AMD only lists the memory controller for Zen 3 chips from 2933 with four single-rank sticks.

I usually test it in dual channel with two 16-bit channels, since RAM sticks can be tough to run at the advertised rates. You don’t have to immediately discard the old ones; you could sell them if they’re still valuable or keep them just in case your new sticks fail or stop working. I test several 4x configurations using DDR4 at 3200MT/s on a B550 motherboard. I receive another batch and it works well.

4 sticks are sufficient, but if you're exceeding the recommended speed for your CPU (3200 MT/s vs 2933 as suggested by @Tetras), performance might suffer. 3200 MT/s is adequate for DDR4. Avoid pairing mismatched RAM speeds and timings to prevent stability problems. Stick with the same setup you previously chose.

Rated for 3200 with 2 sticks, not 4. Find more details on AMD's site (some listings were taken): https://www.amd.com/en/products/processo...800xt.html While it won't fail, AMD views it as less ideal.
