Hello, I just built a new PC and am unsure whether Windows 10 or Windows 8 would be more suitable. Which one should I choose for better support? Thank you for your assistance!

Windows 7, 8, and 10 can all handle most applications, but I believe Windows 7 or 8.1 offers a more stable experience compared to Windows 10, which has several issues. I’ve discussed the reasons for this in my previous post.

I’d choose Windows 10. It’s had fewer issues compared to Windows 7, and it offers better multi-monitor and drive capabilities, plus several other useful improvements.

I'm using the latest version of Windows 10, but I understand it still has some issues and hasn't been fully polished. That's why I thought going with Windows 8 might be a better choice, though I appreciate your thoughts.

For DirectX 12 you need Windows 10 only. I'm using it without issues so far—it's different, but manageable.

Since the 1607 Anniversary Update, I feel confident suggesting Windows 10 instead of Windows 7, especially for business purposes. Prior to that release, it certainly had its share of issues and quirks not present in a standard Windows 7 system, but now those problems have been resolved. For me, Windows 10 offers greater reliability and stability right out of the box compared to 7.

I moved to Windows 10 in May, but I still keep Windows 7 on another hard drive. I haven’t thought about returning to Windows 7 at all.

I chose Windows 10 because it runs better than Windows 7 and resolves many issues from Windows 8 and 8.1.

I faced a lot of issues with Windows 10. It would randomly lock up without any reason, so I switched to 8.1 and everything worked fine then.

It's not the case unless you're focusing on startup speed and DirectX 12. Windows 7 includes Vulkan support, offering similar functionality to DirectX 12.
