These are the details for the upcoming build...
Hardware: MSI Z170A Gaming M7
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0
Graphics: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0
Cooling: CorsAir Hydro Series H110i
Power Supply: CorsAir HX750i
Storage: Intel 540s Series M.2 80mm 1TB SATA III
Hard Drive: WD Blue 4TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM
Memory: Any decent 32GB budget RAM
The PSU is 750W, I was hoping this would be sufficient to boost the CPU safely... Thanks...
The PSU seems adequate for CPU overclocking, though it might be a bit excessive. You likely only need around 600W, maybe less. But if you're okay investing a bit more and confident it's a solid choice, then it is a Platinum Rated PSU and works well...

750W is sufficient, 550 or 600 would be excessive even after overclocking. Use outervision's PSU calculator to determine your actual power needs.

This power supply is adequate for CPU overclocking, though it might be a bit excessive—likely only needing around 600W. If you're okay with investing a bit more, it’s a solid choice and definitely exceeds expectations as a Platinum-rated unit.

Thank you for your quick responses. Based on what I know, the GPU is factory overclocked, so pushing it further might not be wise. I plan to purchase a suitable PSU to ensure the CPU and possibly the graphics card can be overclocked safely. I'm taking care not to damage anything during this process.

600 should be sufficient for safely overclocking both the CPU and GPU, no concerns needed.
