The 3300X features fewer high-speed cores, while the 2600 includes more lower-speed cores. For gaming, the 3300X offers better performance.

The scores seem similar across different configurations, so adding more cores likely wouldn’t make a noticeable change for light to medium gaming or media use.

The 3300X offers a slight edge in gaming performance, but leveraging the additional cores from the 2600 effectively could yield even better results. I suggest going with the 3300X as it excels in gaming and supports PCIe Gen 4.

Would a $3,100 model make a noticeable change if I find a solid price?
