I consider these games excellent, especially those with engaging narratives, but I’m particularly drawn to the Witcher series.

Among them, The Witcher series stands out. I find Slavic mythology the foundation of the games—or at least the third one, The Witcher 3. I haven’t completed any of the Witcher titles yet. My top RPG choice is Oblivion; it’s one of the few that really stuck with me. I especially enjoyed the factions in Oblivion, far more than those in Skyrim.

Assassins Creed isn't really an RPG, and DMC is even more so. Just a note—DMC3 is the one I love most. Don't mention Final Fantasy if we're going for the big names.

Among the RPG titles I enjoy, the ME series stands out the most for me, and I believe the DMC games offer the most impressive combat system of all.

I haven’t completed Witcher 3 yet, but I’ve played the previous titles multiple times and finished all the novels, so I’m deeply engaged in the Witcher universe. That’s where I started. Mass Effect is close behind, though its story feels a bit lighter. Dusting an Elysian Tail would follow.

From all these titles, Elder Scrolls stands out, though Dragon Age: Origins is the top pick. I've spent countless hours on that one, and it's amazing. Dragon Age 2, on the other hand, isn't great, and I haven't played Inquisition.

Most of these titles fall under the A-RPG or action RPG category, which typically leans toward lighter RPG content. Even Fallout 4 has lost much of its original RPG feel. The Dragon Age line is a step closer to traditional RPGs, though still relatively light on mechanics compared to earlier entries. DA:O stands out in my view. Inquisition feels outdated and console-focused on PC. Mass Effect is more of a shooter with some RPG touches. Assassin's Creed offers a more traditional experience but remains within the ARPG range rather than the classic T-RPG style. The Elder Scrolls series leans toward traditional RPGs, though still within the broader ARPG spectrum. Pillars of Eternity is the top modern traditional RPG due to its scale and budget. For a Baldur's Gate equivalent today, it’s the best choice. The Baldur's Gate series comes in second, with Neverwinter Nights as a close alternative. Unfortunately, I haven't played the original Fallout, Wasteland, or Planescape:Torment long enough to enjoy them anymore. Spending countless hours on older titles feels less worthwhile compared to newer games like Fallout 4 that offer improved graphics and gameplay.
