I've been exploring options for streaming PC games directly to my living room. I'm looking for a solution that lets me play without moving my computer downstairs. I've checked out Steam Link, Chromecast, Nvidia Shield TV, and similar devices, but I'm unsure which is the best fit for gaming. I need something tailored specifically for gaming, not just general media playback. The Steam Link is no longer available, so older hardware might be an issue. I'm new to Raspberry Pi and haven't done much research yet. Do you know anyone who uses these setups or can recommend a clear option?

I've observed that transferring games between computers often causes significant lag, resulting in a poor gaming experience. Occasionally it functions smoothly, but you may encounter latency problems and unexpected slowdowns.

Enable game streaming through the shield (NVIDIA) or use Radeon software on Android (AMD). Streaming may cause high latency and poor image quality. Alternative: HDMI over LAN or Wi-Fi.

I own a smart TV but Steam link isn’t available since it’s not Samsung. I’m using Ethernet via a plug in my main socket, and I was curious about alternatives. After trying a 4K Fire Stick, it didn’t work well—so I’m considering a Raspberry Pi or an Nvidia Shield Pro TV. I’d prefer a solution that avoids running cables throughout the house.
