They're correct about the situation—seven does carry some risk nowadays, though there are simple ways to secure it. Windows 10 is quite heavyweight, while Win8 was a mess, and 8.1 helped somewhat. What you truly need is Windows 9! https://www.eastcoast.hosting/Windows9/ (I run it on my main system—it works perfectly. It combines the advantages of 7, 8/8.1, and 10, without the clutter or issues linked to 10 or 8/8.1)

Over the years, I've noticed that switching from W7 to W10 improves performance, as W10 operates more efficiently. JP
