Windows 11 remains the recommended choice. Microsoft will cease support for Windows 10 soon.

Windows 10 isn’t optimized for your 14700HX model, with limited compatibility for 13th/14th generation chips. You’ll miss out on drivers and newer features. If you notice sluggish performance on Windows 11, consider a clean install or factory reset—it often resolves the issue. Windows 11 is built for your hardware and receives updates far longer than Windows 10.

The Lenovo Vantage app displays all drivers as updated, but you're experiencing lag and freezing. It might help to check your system resources, restart your device, or update the app itself. If the issue persists, consider reinstalling the driver or contacting Lenovo support.

Ensure you downloaded the newest Intel GPU drivers directly from Intel, NVIDIA or AMD, avoiding only Lenovo Vantage. In Blender settings, go to Preferences > System and verify it’s configured for your discrete GPU CUDA/OptiX (NVIDIA) or HIP/Metal (AMD). Keep an eye on temperatures using HWinfo or MSI Afterburner; if CPU or GPU reaches 95–100°C, performance drops significantly. When lag persists, perform a fresh driver reinstall via DDU safe mode and restart, which often resolves Blender problems on new machines.
