Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and Elementary OS are excellent options for installing web browsers directly online. Many Linux-based systems, especially those using Ubuntu or Debian, are straightforward to configure and operate.

The older hardware you're using runs slower when just the browser is active, especially with Ubuntu installed. It's likely due to the age of the system.
