Hi! This is a repost because from the last one to now I made some changes in the way I'm thinking about windows. So I want to have windows 10, I can wait untill it gets released. Or, I could get win 8.1 now and thats it. If I get win 8, I wont buy win 10, I will probablly wait for win 11 since spending 100€ on an os is too much for me. Also, what would I benefit from waiting for win 10? Thanks

There isn't to much that is deffernt in Win 10 from Win 8 but its worth waiting for Win10 because Win10 is pretty nice with some of the little features that they added like multiple desktop environments at once.

The updates haven't been officially announced yet. Win 7 is currently around 5€ cheaper in my region, which makes the newer version more appealing.

You should aim for 8.1 since you're unlikely to prefer jumping to 10 later. Choosing 7 is the least favorable of the three choices.

In game performance, the tech preview is terrible—so disappointing that I had to reinstall my Windows 7 Ultimate disk.

Performance evaluation for Windows 10 is pending until the official launch because of debug code, extensive telemetry gathering, and absence of official drivers. For accurate results with a new OS, wait for the second release of drivers. Typically, initial drivers are quick to provide full feature support, while later updates focus on refinements.

Upgrade to Windows 8, add a start button, strip away all the flair. Result: Windows 7 with improved features.
