Chose this board for the latest build. Purchased from eBay: Gaming PC motherboard featuring an i7-11800H CPU at 2.3GHz, 8 cores, 16 threads, HM570 chipset. Arrived quickly, nicely wrapped, quality appears genuine rather than mass-produced. Eager to test its performance.
I notice it's positioned on a fence while considering this setup. The main features are four VRMs, one of which seems ideal for the PCI-E port—meaning a 3+1 configuration. That’s quite a lot of power delivery. Support? I’m not sure about that. No disk visible, so I’m focusing on that. Are there any online resources for BIOS updates to boost stability and memory compatibility? And could you share your experience once it’s working?
It may be a scamming mobo at first thought. But I found their aliexpress store selling a lot of modified processors. Good reviews. mod processors are involved with BIOS, so they should be able to solve BIOS issues. Probably it is not necessary to update the BIOS as the CPU is unchangeable. I just wrote to them about the memory compatibility hope to get reply soon. Still waiting for other parts to finish the setup.
I really like the brand name. It wouldn’t be worth considering such a board—so plain in many aspects, and as noted, there’s no support for it. The drivers or whatever else it requires are unclear. It’s also a bare-bones design with the VRM setup being the weakest configuration possible. I hope you have some success, but I’m not confident this will last long. Please keep us updated on its performance and any issues.
Can't match the performance of the mini Intel branded M.2 slot I had; it would fail repeatedly each day without cause. Seems exciting—definitely worth adding a solid cooler to test undervolting. I’m skeptical VRMs will be an issue here, especially since this CPU draws very little power compared to an 11th gen Intel chip.
