I plan to assemble a PC using a Ryzen 5 3500 GX 1650, a Super Corsair CX 450 8 GB RAM, and a 1 TB SSD. I have two choices: either use an MSI A320 PRO MAX motherboard with an SSD or an MSI B450 PRO MAX. Which option should I choose?

Both boards are bad. You need at least an ASRock Pro4 B450.

Opt for a 1600 AF or 2600 instead of 3600. That should help you buy a budget SSD and a better board. Check that your RAM is 2x4 and operates at 3000 MHz or higher.

It's understandable to wonder about the A320 Pro Max, but its performance is limited. Since you're not aiming for high-end specs, it should work adequately for your needs. Overclocking isn't necessary here.
