I’d choose eight cores for less than six cores when considering the performance gap, which is under 5%. If you’re lucky and live near Microcenter, a 10-core i9 10850k costs about $319, making it a solid choice. Otherwise, the 10850k is significantly pricier and doesn’t fit this budget.
