I have two computers I'm working with, and I need some advice. One has a Z790 Apex that's running fine, while the other is a Z790 Apex Encore that had bent pins but was fixed. It now works with the 0507 BIOS, though it only supports the latest microcode. The "broken" Encore cost around £120, and the 14900K cost about £240 new. My 24GB 8000MHz Gskill cost £140, bringing the total to around £500—manageable. The White Apex cost £440 a year ago. One system is my main PC (white), and the other is an HTPC for a projector. I’m considering which model fits better on each. Would the Encore be more suitable for the main PC, while the HTPC stays simpler?
