I assembled a PC a few weeks ago and it has performed well overall, aside from the Wi-Fi performance. I’ve connected it to a WiFi extender via Ethernet cable. Since the PC is in higher floors of my home, I need a device offering strong coverage. Bluetooth isn’t essential. Looking for affordable options that fit the situation.

I'm using this adapter. You might want to try a different router or mesh Wi-Fi setup. The link you shared looks promising.

I expect a mesh around Christmas, likely temporary. I’m probably getting the initial type. Are there any distinctions between PCI-E adapters and USB in terms of placement? I’ve noticed cheaper USB adapters available.

usb typically uses a single connection, but pcie offers higher speed with options like 2x2 or 4x4. one connection is half the performance of a double connection.
