I successfully boosted my I5-9600k to 4.8 GHz across all cores. Now I'm deciding on the optimal VCore setting for better stability. Currently it's auto, but I'm considering adjusting it to 1.35 volts. Would that be a safer choice?
Go as low as possible while maintaining stability. Each CPU is unique, and the voltage that works best for one person probably won't suit you. Starting at 1.35v is a solid point, adjusting it up or down based on stability needs. If temperatures are low enough, you might also increase clock speed and voltage.
I used 4.9GHz, but it didn’t work even with just 4 volts and higher frequencies won’t start.
