Looking for affordable options to connect your router to another side of the house. Consider budget-friendly switches and access points that fit your needs without breaking the bank.

I’d choose an Ubiquiti AP and a gigabit switch.

It varies; a wall-mounted setup works well for limited coverage, while an AP AC-LR provides better overall coverage.

Just install a controller on your computer and configure it as needed. It doesn’t need to run continuously; you only activate it when you want to adjust settings.

It seems you're asking about the UAP AC Lite. Could you clarify what specific information you're looking for regarding it?

AC Lite, LR, or AC Pro functions well. Placing it inside the wall is ideal if you want it mounted against a surface (projects Wi-Fi outward from the wall). They’re straightforward to install. You’ll need to set up the Unifi controller initially, though you don’t have to keep it active. Be aware that certain models lack the POE injector (often the more affordable ones). You’ll require a POE injector for the APs to receive power. I’ve configured a dual AC Pro system on my own POE switch.

You’d need just two connections—one for the main room and another for the loft—to cover all your needs.
