I currently have amd ryzen 5 3600 and I want to upgrade it to 7800x3d but I'm not sure if it's better to wait for AMD's new CPU's like something that will be succcesor to 7800x3d

This refers to keeping the AM4 platform running by reintroducing new architecture to AM4 without DDR5 support. It’s about maintaining compatibility with older systems while planning for future upgrades. Your 3900x setup offers flexibility, and the 5900x is one possible route, but it isn’t the only option—other models may also serve as stepping stones until you decide on your next build.

Ensure your system uses an AM5 motherboard and DDR5 RAM. Upgrade only when your existing CPU doesn’t meet your application needs. Purchase only what’s necessary.
