You're considering switching from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 8 or 8.1. After reviewing online sources, many users highlight the confusing interface as a major drawback. If you find the startup screen of Windows 8 or 8.1 difficult to navigate, it might affect your experience. Weighing this against the benefits of a new OS, you should also consider whether the familiarity of Windows 7 and its comfortable start-up feel are worth the potential learning curve.

Current is at 8.1, which is fine when compared to 7. It can be quite confusing sometimes, and a few things seem unclear. Stick with 7.

Keep it simple, just use DX12 if you need it. I miss those Aero effects!

I’m choosing the 10 version for its capabilities and reliability, despite the privacy issues. I just wish Microsoft fixes some of those features in 10.

Windows 8.1 performs better than commonly perceived. It remains fairly reliable, most applications function smoothly, and I've experienced fewer memory-related problems compared to others.

I’d prefer Windows 8.1 instead of Windows 7 anytime. It looks more polished, and the Start menu works perfectly fine.

I stayed on version 7 without any issues. I’ll handle version 10 later.

Keep going, just switch again when you notice 8 is unnecessary.
