You're looking to cut costs on your PC build. It's a smart move to explore Linux—it could save you around £70. It should be manageable for someone familiar with Windows, especially if you're comfortable with Linux basics. Let me know if you need tips!

You should familiarize yourself with some terminal commands, though you don't need to be a master of them. Just getting comfortable is enough—similar to learning Windows at first. I suggest starting with Ubuntu or similar distributions like Kubuntu for beginners.

To run this as a gaming device, you must have Windows installed. You should also be aware that there are more affordable options for obtaining Windows, such as through G2A.

It's not difficult at all—just focus on other things. Gaming isn't necessary if you spend most of your time online. Installing Ubuntu will likely be easier than setting up Windows.

Using platforms like Ubuntu is quite simple. You can enjoy many games both directly and via Wine, though the quality might be noticeably lower compared to Windows.

From the way his profile and updates appear, it seems uncertain if this is feasible. I’m not implying he’s unintelligent; rather, it might just be a lack of prior experience.

You can obtain a license from G2A or Reddit at a lower cost, around 15 quid.

Everyone begins at the start. I didn’t have any previous knowledge when I first used Ubuntu.
