Hi everyone, just wanted to check in with you about which Windows 10 edition makes the most sense for someone like me. I'm a regular user who plays games, listens to music, watches movies, and browses the web. The price difference between versions is quite noticeable in my area, so I'm trying to decide if the extra 100 euros for the Pro version is worth it. Thanks for your help!

Windows 10 Home suffices. Obtain Windows 7 HP at a low cost and upgrade it to Windows 10. Spare some money.

In the home version you can't: delay driver updates, postpone window updates, access the access group policy editor, or manage advanced user settings—mainly for power users. TL;DR for your situation, the home version works well. It’s built for users who occasionally shop on Amazon, browse Facebook, and check email. Just remember to follow your thread to stay notified and get replies faster. Note: this post has been edited.

Pro is about business, your home belongs to everyone. It's also pricier and usually packed with things that don't really serve you.

I plan to purchase a portable USB flash drive with Windows 10. I need a flexible option so I can use it on a new laptop or computer later.

The home has certain constraints similar to delaying updates, which many might wish for. Win10 Pro might be worthwhile, though you probably won’t see those added benefits until you actually require them.

I understand you can create your own, but the licensing stays consistent with earlier versions. Since it was an OEM model, USB isn't worth pursuing. It's better to purchase it from a retailer instead.

It's secure to build the USB install using the media creation tool and then purchase the key. The software is developed by them, ensuring no signs of a fake copy will appear on your copy.
