I'm planning a fresh setup soon and want to know whether to go with Windows 10 or 11. Both will use Rufus, but there are extra steps you might need for a smoother transition. To reduce telemetry in Windows 11, you can adjust settings during installation or use third-party tools. As for customization, Windows 11 offers more options compared to the newer look of Windows 10.

Is Windows 10 your initial operating system? If not, go with version 11. If it is, keep it. Switching OS can be surprising. For most users, it's similar. Rufus works well, telemetry isn't a major concern, and I haven't run into problems. I use a VPN and browse more adult content than you all combined. The government hasn't made any moves yet.

Right now it makes sense to switch to Windows 11 because the deadline for version 10 is getting closer.

It's not my first operating system, but if most things are similar, I'll choose version 11. I noticed some folks mentioned telemetry was poor on 11, so I wanted to check if Rufus helped reduce it.

The concern about a Win 10 end-of-2025 deadline is valid. A timely fresh installation could help avoid potential issues.

Similar to October, time passes quickly—just adapt to being ahead by eleven.
