You're evaluating whether to upgrade to a Ryzen processor for better value compared to your current Intel i7 7700K. Considering your usage—streaming, recording, gaming, and running multiple apps simultaneously—it's important to weigh the performance gains against the price difference of about $10 between the 2nd and 3rd generation models. Since you're only upgrading the CPU and motherboard, focus on how each option aligns with your workload demands. The newer Ryzen models typically offer improved efficiency and multi-threading capabilities, which could enhance your overall experience without a significant jump in cost.

purely for gaming, the 2700x would drop the ranking, though it aids streaming. The 3600 matches the performance of the 7700k in games as well, but still supports streaming. For you, I’ll wait until the end of the year and switch to the Ryzen 4000 lineup.

The i7 7700K performs better than the R7 2700X and matches the R5 3600 in gaming power. I recommend using your 1070 Ti with NVENC for smoother streaming. You might consider holding off another two months for Intel's upcoming 10th gen release, which should significantly boost performance and enhance options from both Intel and AMD. If you still want to move away from the 7700K, the R5 3600 is a stronger choice overall.

ASUS X570 TUF Gaming offers the same value as the R5 3600 for $149.99, with a bundle discount bringing it down to $303.98. It seems like a solid deal, though the wait is a bit long. I’m okay with the price if I need NVENC(new) at 1080p60fps—though I usually play at 1440p. If I don’t mind the occasional encoding overload message that disappears after a short while, it might be worth waiting.

It seems you're dealing with a complex setup, possibly juggling several tasks at once. It wasn't the simplest to manage the 7700K, but you did it! Either way, if you have time, I'd recommend sticking around—keep saving and stay tuned. As I mentioned in April, we'll get the i7 10700K, which is a more refined version of the i9 9900K for the same price point, making it a solid choice for your needs.

April passes quickly. I expected to have more than $1000 by then. Thanks for your assistance.
