With these Steam Cyber Monday offers, I'm aiming to collect a variety of titles while staying under $40. I've already spent about $53, so I'm trimming some games. It's hard to choose between the Mass Effect Collection and the Dead Space Pack—both include the first two games at $8.75 each. What do you think?

Dead Space! A few of my top picks and one that didn’t quite work out. Sounds like if you enjoy RPGs, try Mass Effect; if you like Resident Evil 4, then Dead Space DS’s PC version has a problem with VSync—turn it off, use NVIDIA VSync or a framecap via MSI Afterburner. Also, the QTEs run twice as fast at 60 FPS, which is a concern but manageable. Consider using NVIDIA AA or DSR to boost image quality.

Never played RE4 but it seems enjoyable. Also, what do you mean by the fact that QTEs run at double speed at 60 FPS? That's something to keep in mind—it's not impossible to handle, but it can be a problem. Also, try using NVIDIA AA or DSR to boost image quality.

Some sequences in Dead Space require pressing a button to prevent harm, and you sustain damage each frame. At higher resolutions like 60 FPS, the damage increases. You might improve the game's appearance using Nvidia Control Panel AA or DSR.

I've tried both games but prefer Mass Effect. I completed it 21 times. Dead Space works too, though it lacks the sci-fi feel of ME.

Mass Effect. But don't finish the whole game. Stop once you arrive on Earth and let your mind take over.

So far Mass Effect is performing well, I plan to buy in about 20 minutes.

You prefer longer play sessions or shorter ones? Dead Space is a fairly compact experience, while Mass Effect offers significantly more material. It's quite distinct from the others. I believe three votes aren't a solid representation of opinions.
