Which version is better, the M4A4 Royal Paladin or the M4A1? Both are field-tested hyper beasts. You're considering 8 dollars and 10 dollars, plus another choice between M4A4 and M4A1. Which one do you prefer?
I’d choose a paladin, though I don’t have a strong preference for the M4 because I switch too much.
I don’t really like the Royal Paladin look, but the Hyper Beast appears quite often. Still, the M4A1-S feels awful after its changes (I lost a lot on my Cyrix). The M4A4 seems to perform better overall—except for sound and recoil, maybe even skins. If you manage to tame the recoil, go for the M4A4.

M4A4 doesn't outperform M4A3 in damage stats. Both hit 89-91 for headshots and 25+ for body shots. My experience with M4A1-S was mostly A1-S, but I switched to A4 when I got M4A4. It really comes down to personal preference or the condition of the skin since condition affects performance.
