Ok so I am getting a pre-built from Asus (GL10CS) and I need to know that should I just go and get i7 9700k or wait for these systems to be available on 10th Gen which I assume they would next year but that's too long for a wait. (Note: I can't make a Custom Pc so consider it) So should I really buy a year old CPU? Would it be worth it?

The 10th generation isn't very promising to hold off on. The 9th generation will suffice with a ready-made solution.
