Hi! For your setup, both the i5 3570K and i3 8100 perform quite similarly. Overclocking the i5 might not give you a noticeable boost compared to the i3, so it’s probably not worth it unless you’re specifically targeting a small performance gain.

The I3 8100 offers a more advanced upgrade route than the 3570K. Are you thinking about getting a Ryzen processor instead?

No funds available. I managed to score a deal on this machine when it cost just 60 CAD for the base model without RAM or a graphics card.

I upgraded my 3570K to 4.5ghz and it beats the i3 in the CPUZ test. Check out what you can achieve with your own build!

Amazon.com is the right place, and I managed to save some cash to buy the i3 PC. I also received the i5 model for free. My budget was limited, so I prioritized getting the best performance possible with what I had.

I recently reached a max of 4.8ghz at 1.35v, but couldn’t get 4.9ghz even at 1.425v. It seems extra cooling might be necessary. Do you have any MOSFIS for them? Also, keep in mind that an i5 requires a Z77 motherboard.
