I just assembled my wife's setup: an i5 12400f, two 8GB 3200Mhz CL16 GPUs, and a 3060 Ti. One of my friends is looking to replace his 10700K on a Hero. From the benchmarks I saw on YouTube, the 12400f seems to beat the 10700k. What are your thoughts?

for gaming, it performs significantly better due to improved single-threaded speed. In multi-threaded tasks, the i7 offers a slight edge thanks to its additional two cores. The new 12th generation processor is also more efficient, running cooler and consuming less power. Summary: the updated i5 delivers much better performance.

For gaming and most uses, 12400 performs better than 10700. If possible, I recommend avoiding Non-F Skus. They can be helpful during troubleshooting.
