Hey, here the i5 10400 priced around $193 and i5 11400 around $235, add RAM price difference (2666mhz vs 3200 mhz) around USD $10 So, is it worth the ~$52 difference? Also to be noted it will be paired with ASUS Prime H510M-A motherboard. If i need a B560 chipset to make the 11400 more worth it, please consider the price difference as well. Thanks

It’s possible to go down to an i3 if you can find the savings. Back then, you could buy an i3-10100F for around $100, which is similar to the prices of i7 models a few years back.

With the present GPU market situation, I doubt I'll secure the F variant. Also, a 4 core/8 thread setup seems insufficient. I plan to use this machine for at least five years, which makes me concerned that the 8 thread count might not be adequate later. Could be a misunderstanding.

It seems you're referring to a specific number or decision, but the context isn't clear. Could you clarify what you mean by "10400" and your question?
