Hello. I'm setting up my very first PC. I've got an RTX 3060 Ti and a LGA 1200 Intel board. I was thinking about using an i5 11600K, but is that sufficient for the RTX 3060 Ti? Should I upgrade to an i7 11700K or even go with the lower i5 11400? Also, my monitor is only 1080p at 75Hz. I don't need 2K gaming. Thanks.

For pure gaming, consider 11400. With a Z490/Z590 setup, overclocking might be around 11600K, though it’s usually not very helpful. Prices will play a big role. If the 11700K costs $200 and the 11600K $190, you might want to invest the extra $10. However, if the 11400 is $130 and the 11700K $300, it probably isn’t worth it. Also, market prices can vary—swapping your current board for a B660 and a 12400F could be a smart move since those options offer great value right now.

Very impractical without cooling that supports at least 1.4v under 80°C or 1.5v+ under 70°C. You might want to think about selling your board and getting a 12th-gen Intel, since it works much better than the 11th-gen version.

11600K works well when you're mainly playing games; having more than six cores isn't essential, though eight cores offer better future readiness but aren't strictly required.
