SSD speeds are impressive... I started a discussion about it, explaining why we should always suggest SSDs instead of HDDs for boot drives. After experiencing the difference firsthand, I noticed the clear benefits.

Used SSD continuously throughout the day. Got one yesterday too. Now it starts up in under 10 seconds, compared to the minutes it took with my old 1TB HDD. Boot times are fast, and everything feels very quick, even when adding files to an external HDD.

High-speed 4200 RPM HDDs perform even better when broken up. I’ve noticed computers these days are too fast for me, so I’m always confused about what’s happening. That’s why I suggest 4200 RPM drives and always choose a case with the Turbo option, which I advise turning off. The recommended case is:
