Zen 3 is already two years old, which means it's quite old in the computer industry. It makes sense that newer processors are quicker.

Even though 5800x3d manages to keep up and sometimes surpass them, it's still a solid CPU for gaming. It works well if you're mainly playing games and already have an AM4 setup or can afford a budget-friendly one. It's also quite energy-efficient, though it's only really beneficial in gaming contexts. If you don't focus on gaming or need more versatile performance, opt for a 136/700k instead.

Absolutely, it's quite remarkable! Definitely no debate there. Yes, and yes! This is exactly what you'd say when someone wants to upgrade to modern components. While AM4 has served me well over the past couple of years, you can invest smarter now.

Warzone and cyberpunk faced limitations due to the Ryzen 3700X. I reviewed several online videos and noticed consistent problems among users with this setup. A comparison video showed the Ryzen 3700X paired with the RX 3070 versus the RYZEN 5800X and RX 3070 at 1080p, where the 5800X outperformed by double frames per second. At 4K resolution, the Ryzen 3700X might work but struggles with 1080p and 1440p in CPU-heavy titles. My other machine, featuring an i9 9900 and RX 3060 Ti, completely overwhelms the system when using the Ryzen 3700X and RX 3070. The two 8GB RAM sticks at 3200 MHz are noted for their performance.

I’d appreciate some copies of the receipts for the bottleneck. My previous build had a 3600 (non-x) and a 3070. I haven’t seen anything like a "cpu bottleneck" before… but perhaps Cyberpunk isn’t optimized enough for heavy CPU use?

Try running Warzone on that machine. It's quite demanding on the CPU. My i9-9900 and RTX 3060 Ti perform about average at 160 on Rebirth. The Ryzen 3700X has trouble reaching 120 and falls to around 100 during tough battles.

The performance gap between the two CPUs with the RTX 3070 remains consistent, though specific tasks may vary based on workload.

There might be a configuration problem. The 3700x and 9900(k even) values are quite similar, noticeably nearer to each other than your comparison suggests.

It depends on the game. Where it is CPu intensice games like cyberpunk, big difference. Check the difference in cyberpunk when switching from Ryzen 7 3700X to Ryzen 7 5800X.

It feels incredibly smooth. Gaming X3D performs exceptionally well, particularly when you prioritize quiet operation—it's very comfortable to use.
