I observed someone setting up a dual-boot system on YouTube, using a device similar to the one linked. That approach effectively reduces power to the SSD you don’t need, preventing both Linux and Windows SSDs from running simultaneously—provided the switch is handled properly. It seems to be limited to SATA connections, but using W11 appears to be a more practical solution.

Two NVMe drives are connected, one for Debian and one for Windows. All functions operate correctly, but a restart is required to enable native use on other operating systems.

I'm looking for specific software intended for execution on a Linux environment.

I strongly dislike dual booting Windows 11 with Linux. I’ll stick to just Windows 11 or just Linux.

Good call. Pick an OS that does it all. Outside tinkering, there is only one OS per computer. I've never seen a TV with two OS and the user has to change OS when they watch Netflix or Hulu. Or a car where you select the OS based on driving in summer or Winter. Phone uses a single OS. Mac users seem happy. 99.9999% of users agree. Use your Linux Firefox browser to search in Duck Duck go, copy a result you want to paste into Bluebeam, oh crap, now reboot into Windows. 2 minutes later, you realize your copied text was in Linux. You search again and paste into Blubeam. Then reboot back to Linux to play tux race. While playing tux race, you want to watch something in Peacock, crap, reboot back to W11, but then you don't have Tux Race ...... You'd think that after 35 years of widespread use of Personal Computers, they would have made one OS that can fulfill all needs without having to reboot the PC every time you switch applications. You know, you just click the taskbar icon and you can have both the browser and another app open at the same time and copy and paste between them. Like you go to a store that sells PCs that come with an OS. And that OS can run browser, tax software, games.... and all with the same OS and without tinkering. But who would ever buy that? That sure will be a market failure!
