It seems many people praise RSS despite its shortcomings. I tried the beta and thought it was quite dull. If played with friends, it could become more enjoyable, but most of the time it feels like just waiting, setting up defenses, or breaking them, with only a couple of minutes of real action. Those shield characters are really annoying.
During the live versus demo session at their event, RT highlighted how impressive the game was, with developers standing close by. After release, they discussed its shortcomings on their gaming podcast.
I didn't enjoy the R6S beta. That doesn't mean I'm a critic. I played R6 rogue spear, Raven shield, and Vegas 1 & 2. This one, though... I'm not sure. It didn't really grab me. Fallout is my favorite game, though. I last played Fallout 3 last year—definitely a solid experience. But Fallout 4 is one of the top games I've ever had... if you're willing to tolerate some performance hiccups and bugs.
R6S offers a decent experience, though it doesn't justify the price. It has some stability problems at the ATM, but once it runs smoothly it becomes a strong game.
