Back in 2015, I mainly made those updates a few times. Apparently he doesn’t use a computer ATM anymore. His daughter probably does, but she moved to college or university to complete her degree. My dad, on the other hand, is really set in keeping the Linux distribution updated. So I often have to install it myself when he’s not around. I did this a few times because of that. By the way, I wasn’t trying to be rude—I just thought your comments about Linux were a bit too basic.

I’m completely new to OpenBSD and other free BSD operating systems. I’ve tried using them before, but they seemed slower than the Linux distribution I was using. Linux also has more developers and better support options.

Back then, there were still computers running Mandrake or Mandriva. I was looking for a good alternative at the time.

I used Mandrake during the 90s for a short period. Do you think Mageia is still around?
