Consider your gaming needs first. For high-performance gaming, both Intel and AMD offer strong options. If you're targeting the I9 10th Gen or Ryzen 9, look for a motherboard that supports those architectures and has solid overclocking potential. Future-proofing means choosing components that can handle upcoming updates—opt for reputable brands with good BIOS support.

Only gaming matters—I’d suggest Intel for anything else, and for gaming, it’s AMD.

You seem focused on gaming, so likely you're not looking for high-end GPUs like the 10900K or 3900X. What price range are you considering?

Also avoid mentioning the future, it doesn't apply unless it's a power source xd

Reject the future plans. It felt so distant back then. The next CPU drop should come around September... Can't judge one that hasn't been released yet against one that already exists. Pick one path:
1. Hold off
2. Upgrade Intel with better performance
3. Go for a bit more efficiency—lower FPS but smoother and cooler operation

When gaming is your main focus, options like a 3700x and a B550 X570 setup could be viable. If you prefer Intel, a 10600K and Z490 would also be suitable.
