You can store games on your HDD without needing an SSD. It’s possible to save and stream them from there.

I've never encountered a hard drive case in game issues; the world appears to load into RAM as you navigate through it. It seems it might depend on the system and the specific game, though that would likely point more to RAM limitations than a HDD problem.
