Choose between Gigabyte and Asus based on your needs.
Hey there. I was planning to buy an X570 AORUS PRO from Gigabyte, but after checking some of their drivers and software, I'm feeling a bit unsure. I'll be adding RGB components from brands like G-Skill RAM, Asus 3090 GPU, and Lian Li UNI fans. Although I know RGB Fusion won't work with all of them, some users report crashes and BSODs. Anyone have experience with this? Should I look into other options, perhaps Asus boards like the 570 Strix or Pro? Tldr—worth considering a different brand if the software issues persist. Cheers!
For a 360 budget, consider an Asus Hero or Asus Crosshair Dark hero.
OpenRGB offers a solid alternative to the standard RGB controls often packed into board designs. It provides a more capable solution without the usual bloatware. You can find more info at their site and on GitHub. I'm currently using an X570 Aorus Master for about three weeks, and everything is working well. The core functions are smooth, though the default fan curve can be a bit too aggressive. It's best to avoid extra features in the downloads and focus on essential drivers and updates.
