Project cars is great, but the AC is a whole lot better! If you must choose, pick AC—it offers superior physics and mod support, which are key for racing simulations. Need more details on sim racing? Just ask me @ FineVisionz

Project CARS resembles Gran Turismo or Forza, offering a simulator experience with realistic handling. AC delivers an immersive sim with laser-scanned tracks. Using force feedback wheels lets you feel every road bump and dip. Project CARS looks more polished and includes strong single-player features. Its simulation relies partly on Nvidia PhysX, so older or weaker GPUs may limit performance due to CPU handling.

Sim and mod shouldn't be crossed. Even though I mod a bit, I don't take modded cars seriously—they're made by users and don't match real developer work.

Three vehicles crafted by developers have become recognized official assets. Including Rfactor would not have made the game strong without modifications, just like FSX.

Playing Asseto Corsa with only a controller can still be enjoyable, but a forcefeedback wheel like the $200 model enhances the driving feel significantly.

It remains enjoyable yet occasionally challenging, and online competition isn’t your strong suit. With the wheel it’s truly impressive—driving in AC feels way better than using a gamepad. I bought my G27 five to six years ago, still in great condition, and used it extensively! It was a big investment, but the value was well worth it.
