I'm replacing my current motherboard, which I suspect isn't working well. I'm looking for a budget option that's white, and I found two models mentioned in the title. The price gap is about five dollars, and they appear to be the same model—365 boards. This will be a gaming PC, and I plan to upgrade later with stronger parts like a 3070 or 3080 CPU and an i9 processor. I'm not very familiar with component details, so I'm unsure about the differences between these options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
B365 is the integrated solution. For an i9 CPU you should consider Z370 boards, but they’re no longer available. These B365 models aren’t compatible with i9 processors. It might be better to swap your motherboard for a more affordable option now and upgrade later when funds allow. What are the other details about your system?
i7 7700K paired with GTX 1080. If the 3070 model becomes available, I’ll grab one right away and then move to an i9 soon after.
B365 doesn't work with the 7700K at all. For optimal results, consider Z170 or Z270 boards. No board matches supporting both the i7 7700K and any i9 processor. The 7700K handles a 3070 well enough.
