We still lack clear information about what's coming next. For the game, consider upgrading your GPU. Also, current Mantle features on NVIDIA don't significantly affect performance except for weak physics implementations—so with a solid card, you shouldn't be let down.

You're likely right, but after Ubisoft making mistakes with their newest titles, I'm becoming overly cautious about games that haven't been released yet.

If the whispers about the mantle hold up, AMD might have an edge, because a massive open-world title such as GTA would demand significant CPU power. The safest approach would be to keep an eye on benchmark results.

View it this way: if it hasn't been released yet, it's probably not worth considering unless it has positive feedback. Think about purchasing only after it's available and well-received.

It varies based on your preferences. Mantle's quality as a feature depends on the game. In numerous titles the performance gap between Mantle and DX11 is minimal. Additionally, Nvidia's capabilities are impressive, though some elements like PhysX can become ineffective in many games because they significantly reduce frame rates. (Assassin's Creed IV and Unity.)
