Hello! I've just finished most of the components for my new setup, which should be ready by the 20th of this month. My question is: In my country, the license for model 7 seems hard to find lately—it's almost gone. But model 8.1 is straightforward to obtain. Is switching to 8.1 a good idea? Is it worth it? I'm unsure about getting 8.1, as I've seen my brother's setup and it doesn't quite make sense. Any advice would be appreciated!

8.1 is quite fine. When you receive it, try installing Classic Shell, StartTo8, or a comparable program.

You'll achieve improved results with version 8.1, and adjustments can bring it close to 7. That's all clear.

Windows 8.1 performs well and runs smoothly. Don’t let others discourage you—many programs still support it. It’s been two years since its launch, so you’re in good hands. Good luck!

You could also receive Windows 10 at no cost as an upgrade option.
