Choose between 16MB 3200MHz or 18MB 3600MHz RAM for your Ryzen 7 5800X.
I'm preparing to upgrade my PC soon and have already purchased a Ryzen 7 5800X with an ASUS ROG Strix X570-I board. I haven't yet bought RAM, I understand Ryzen prefers quick memory but should I choose a CL16 3200MHz or CL18 3600MHz package? Or will the performance gap be minimal right out of the box except for settings like XMP? Since I mainly play FPS games such as Warzone and Battlefield, I won't be doing much overclocking, though I might try under-volting later for better temperatures. For most of my BIOS configurations, I plan to stick with the default settings.
Reviewed these standards rapidly and it appears CL18 3600Mhz consistently leads, particularly in gaming.
