Hello, your bios on the AM5 board have been updated. Previously you had purchased two 32GB DDR5 6000 modules for your 7950X setup, which is functioning well. Now you're considering switching to 48GB DDR5 RAM. It's worth deciding whether to upgrade the existing 32GB units to four 32GB units or, if you're still eligible for a return, replace them with two 48GB units. Your workload includes 3D design, rendering, video editing, and gaming—let me know your thoughts!
Can you function with 96GB of RAM? Yes, it will make installation smoother and performance more stable. For 128GB, you’ll face slower memory access (~4000MT/s), but you won’t run out of space during rendering tasks.
This depends entirely on your specific requirements, and without knowing more about your needs, we can't confirm if 96GB will suffice.
Not quite the same, but I needed more than 32GB while I had two 7200MHz cards. Adding more wouldn't work at that speed, though I do have it running smoothly at 6400MHz on the 14900K. My 7950X uses two 48GB drives operating at 6400MHz with various clock speeds. Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to change the memory to try and achieve 4x16 performance in the 7950X to check the clocks. This update came after a BIOS upgrade for the B650M Elite AX.
