I have a triple monitor setup with a 1920x1080 resolution on a GTX970. I recently added a 4K monitor above it for extra display, but it's still running via CPU graphics for secondary use. My favorite desktop background covers all three original monitors, which I really enjoy. When I switch to the fourth monitor instead of the spanning image, the picture distorts and repeats across all four screens. Changing the background only on the fourth monitor doesn’t fix the issue—it still looks wrong on the triple display. Removing the fourth monitor restores the correct appearance. I’m wondering if there’s a way to show a 5760x1080 image across all three monitors while keeping a separate image on top, without turning on NVIDIA surround mode, which could mess up window handling and scaling? Thanks in advance for your help—I’m new to this forum!

Have you explored the 'fit' choices in Windows background settings? (Navigate to your desktop, click right, personalize). If not, your best chance is likely using the image editor's background options. The description suggests arranging monitors as bars, a full canvas with a red border, and empty corners—possibly needing the 'Stretch' fit for this layout.

The setup would require a different format. Three wide 1080p displays paired with a 4K TV above would change the configuration.
