Hello everyone, I'm setting up a study area that needs to handle Warzone well. I'm deciding between two options: 1) an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and 2) an Intel Core i3-9100F at 3.60GHz. I plan to use a graphics card regardless of the processor choice, just want to know which one suits me better. I won't be overclocking anything, aiming for a reliable setup lasting 4-6 years. Thanks for your advice!
I sure hope so, since there's no other way to get video signal with these CPUs. Don't worry about overclocking, the i3 can't and the only way to not get overclocking on a Ryzen CPU is to buy an extremely crappy motherboard. Warzone struggles with low core count CPUs. The 1600 is better.
They seem to cost the same, but it’s hard to confirm without seeing how it impacts the rest of your setup. Probably, he’s aiming for 1080p60, so a quad-core processor would be more than sufficient.
What's up? In two years I think there'll be great discounts on used Ryzen 5 3600 or even 4600 models. It's not that the 1600 is the newest thing, so if people are okay with older hardware, sticking with an AM4 motherboard still makes more sense overall. Wasting money by replacing the board just because it has four generations of CPU support wouldn't be smart.
