I'm still getting comfortable with PC building. Right now I'm planning an upgrade to an Intel i7-9700, but I'm not sure which motherboard to choose or if a CPU fan is needed. My setup includes a Phantom 506 case—uncertain about its compatibility. It's mainly for gaming and some video editing. I already have a GTX 1660Ti, a 600W Cooler Master bronze PSU, and 16GB of RAM.
i7 9700 non-K paired with Scythe Fuma 2. For the motherboard consider Gigabyte Z390 Elite Pro with Wi-Fi, Gaming X if you need a lower price, or ASRock Taichi for some premium touches.
For $330 you'd receive a 3700x over the 9700 nonk, though that's my perspective.
For $330 you'd receive an 8700K. In reality, I think a 3600 would be worth $190.
Checked Microcenter pricing—8700K costs $279 with a $20 discount for buying a mobo. That’s significantly better than anything around $300. 3700X is decent, but we’re aware of the OC benefits of the 8700K and it gives us an edge. Edit: If you have a nearby MC, let me know; otherwise... skip.

It seems the "Phantom series 605" appears to be a standard ATX case, which should fit your motherboard. My main worry is the cooler—it has a 120mm fan installed, so it should work with models like Scythe Fuma 2 or Ninja 5. As noted by others, for video editing a better choice would be the R7 3700X or an i7 8700K if you can get one from Microcenter in the US.
