Hello everyone, I enjoy streaming on Twitch occasionally, but now I own a GTX 970. I'm figuring out the best software for me. I've tried XSplit Gamecaster, OBS, and Shadowplay, but I'm still unsure. I plan to stream both modded Skyrim and Arma 3, and since Arma is very CPU-heavy, I want to know which program uses the least processing power. Also, should I use x264 or nvenc for decoding? Thanks, Joey
If you don't require any visual elements such as banners, shadowplay will be the optimal choice.
Oh no, I missed posting those details! The specs inside the case are Intel i5-4690k, MSI z97 gaming, 5 MSI GTX 970, 4G Kingston Fury, 2x4GB RAM, and 1688MHz. My monitor is an Asus MX299Q with 2560x1080 resolution. On XSplit GameCast I haven’t seen an option to stream at 1920x1080, it only shows 1920x1080 and cuts off the sides.
Your premium XSplit Gamecaster account includes a license for XSplit Broadcaster. Since you're currently at work and can't reach the website, your access should still be valid.
