Hey everyone, I’m planning to cover my parents’ house with a standalone router. I don’t want to rely on wireless mesh systems. My home is built with thick concrete, so I’m open to using access points. I’ll stick to TP-Link routers and only convert them into access points since I don’t like PoE switches. Thanks!

You should install lan cables and place access points every 15 meters or about 250 square meters, adjusting down to 100 square meters for optimal signal. Using wireless repeating mode will halve the bandwidth at each point.

Create a floor plan showing the modem/router and any Ethernet connections for the wired uplink.
